Watch Chicago Cubs vs Cincinnati Reds Live Stream Free, MLB 2018 Regular Seasons. Chicago Cubs vs Cincinnati Reds match will be kickoff at Wrigley Field, Chicago, Illinois, USA, Saturday 25 May 2019 online, Time: 4:20 pm(AEST) and its broadcast on Channel Seven, Foxtell.

The Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Cubs meet in game two of their three game NL Central division set in MLB action from Wrigley Field on Saturday.

The Cincinnati Reds will look to win the set and push for a sweep on Sunday after opening the series with a 6-5 win on Friday. Yasiel Puig went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs while Eugenio Suarez had a homer and two RBIs. Jesse Winker went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBi to round out Cincinnati’s scoring as a team in the win. Joey Votto went 2 for 4 with a double while Nick Senzel, Tucker Barnhart and Jose Peraza each contributed a base hit in the win. Anthony DeSclafani allowed four runs on five hits over 3.2 innings of work, not factoring in the decision. David Hernandez got the win to improve to 1-2 while Raisel Iglesias picked up his 11th save of the year, closing out the 9th. Tyler Mahle will start game two and is 1-5 with a 3.51 ERA and 54 strikeouts this season. In his career, Mahle is 2-1 with a 2.41 ERA and 17 strikeouts against the Cubs.

The Chicago Cubs will look to rebound after dropping game one on Friday. Kris Bryant went 2 for 5 with a home run and two RBIs while Kyle Schwarber and Anthony Rizzo each had solo homers. Willson Contreras added a pinch-hit RBI while Jason Heyward and Daniel Descalso each had base hits as well in the loss. Kyle Hendricks gave up three runs on six hits while striking out nine over six innings of work. Steve Cishek took the loss, falling to 1-2 on the year. Yu Darvish will start game two and is 2-3 with a 5.06 ERA and 62 strikeouts this season. In his career, Darvish is 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA and 31 strikeouts against Cincinnati.

Cincinnati is 2-12 in Mahle’s last 14 starts and 19-41 in their last 60 road games while the under is 26-11-2 in their last 39 games against a team with a winning record. Chicago is 24-11 in their last 35 games overall and 13-6 in their last 19 home games while the over is 4-1 in Darvish’s last 5 starts against a team with a losing record. Cincinnati is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.

The Cubs have been one of the hotter teams in the majors over the last month, so getting them with a reasonable line is tempting, especially at home. However, the fact that we are getting a decent price against Cincinnati, just goes to speak to how unreliable Darvish has been this season. Mahle’s record doesn’t do him justice as to how well he’s pitched lately, giving up one run or less in three of his last four starts. The Reds are playing solid baseball right now and are worth a look at plus money on Saturday.

The Cubs' Kyle Hendricks (4-4) vs. Anthony DeSclafani (2-2) Friday; Yu Darvish (2-3) vs. Tyler Mahle (1-5) Saturday; Jose Quintana (4-3) vs. Tanner Roark (3-3) Sunday. All games 1:20 p.m.

The Reds, who enjoyed a day off Thursday, are last in the National League Central at 22-27. However, they have a run differential of plus-25 thanks in part to a team ERA of 3.50, which is second in the league. Eugenio Suarez has a line of .254/.338/.531 with the team lead in home runs (13) and RBI (31). Joey Votto continues to slump; his line is .208/.318/.333 with 4 homers and 8 RBI. Hendricks is 6-2 with a 3.23 ERA in 14 career starts against the Reds.

The first-place Chicago Cubs look to put some distance between themselves and the rest of the National League Central Division when they take on the last-place Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday afternoon. The Cubs (29-19) have won nine of the past 12 against the Reds (22-27) and are 10-8-1 in season series against Cincinnati since 2000. The Reds, however, have won three of the past four meetings against Chicago dating back to last season. Game time is scheduled for 2:20 p.m. ET from Wrigley Field in Chicago. The Cubs have won the past four season series vs. Cincinnati. Chicago is -176 on the money line (risk of $176 to return $100), in the latest Cubs vs. Reds odds, with the over-under for runs expected set at eight. The Cardinals endured a tough opening series against the Brewers, winning just one of their first four games of the season to enter the week with a 1-3 overall record. Meanwhile, the Pirates split their first two games of the year against the Cincinnati Reds and had another game postponed due to inclement weather. Can St. Louis right the ship against the Pirates at PNC Park on Monday?

The St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates will kick off their MLB series on Monday.

The Cards are setting up with veteran Adam Wainwright in the start Monday. Wainwright had some major elbow issues last season, and only started eight games for the Cardinals. He went 2-4 with a 4.46 ERA over 40.1 innings in those appearances.

St. Louis will turn to veteran right-hander Adam Wainwright on Monday night. The 37-year-old hurler is fresh off of an injury-riddled season in which he posted a 2-4 record and a 4.46 ERA in eight starts. One of those eight starts came against the Pirates, who lit him up for four earned runs on five hits in five innings of work. Over the past three seasons, Wainwright is 2-1 with a 4.56 ERA in nine games (eight starts) versus the Pirates and he’s posted a 7.31 ERA in four games (three starts) at PNC Park during that span.

According to Baseball Savant, he has limited Pittsburgh’s current lineup to a .261 batting average in 124 plate appearances. Pirates’ hitters own an expected batting average of .237 and an expected weighted on-base percentage of .312 versus Wainwright heading into Monday’s matchup.

Pittsburgh is scheduled to hand the ball to former ace Chris Archer, who has become the latest reclamation project to come over to the Pirates’ organization. Archer is coming off of a disappointing season in which he went 6-8 with a 4.31 ERA in 27 starts. After going 31-29 in his first three full MLB seasons, Archer is just 25-39 with a 4.12 ERA over the past three years and his strikeout rate dropped off by nearly a strikeout-and-a-half last season, despite still sitting over a strikeout per inning.

His problem is that he only throws a fastball and slider and tries to mix in a change with little to no success. Since he’s basically just a two-pitch starter, he runs into a couple of issues. Since hitters immediately see his entire arsenal, Archer struggles the second and third time through the batting order, when his ERA jumps from 3.65 to 4.95 and 4.50, respectively. Then, once he falls behind in the count, he comes back with his fastball in the zone and gets crushed. When Archer got ahead in the count 0-1, he had a 1.70 FIP for the at-bat. If he fell behind 1-0, that number jumped to 5.96 FIP. That led to hitters sporting a healthy .338 BABIP off of him last season.

The Cardinals have dominated this series as of late, especially with Wainwright on the mound. St. Louis is 6-1 in Wainwright’s last seven starts versus the Pirates and four of their last five meetings against Pittsburgh overall. However,  Wainwright has struggled at PNC Park over the past three seasons and he’s a major question mark heading into this game. At least you know what you’re going to get with Archer and the Pirates have a balanced lineup that can scrape runs across the plate. Take the Pirates to come out on top at home in this NL Central battle on Monday.
